Working At Home

My Kids

How hard is it really to maintain something that you can do to earn an income from the comforts of your home?. The hardest part is to choose what to do in order to make an income and the children may be another.

My children are grown now but I would have been able to do this with no problem. I never touched the Internet until 2001 and that was to speak with people. I was able to teach myself some HTML stuff also. I may not be searchable from that time because I used another name but I am now.

To become searchable is the most important thing when advertising free. This requires you to create profiles on all the social network sites you can find. They are free and once you set these up, you are pretty much done. The only other thing is required is to remain active because this makes you searchable.

I worked outside of the home when my kids needed me home. I needed to work in order for them to have the things that they did have. Including the car which we used to go wherever we went. My kids were not spoiled BUT they were pampered.

I hated leaving my children so I can go please other people with my abilities and talents for 8 to 14 hours a day. And it was hard to make sure I had Sunday’s off in most cases. I have worked in some sort of customer service position for the past 20 somewhat years.

This phrase which I am about to type has been said many times over and I am sure that you have heard it; I wish I knew then, what I know now. Because I loved being with my children and rarely needed a break or a day off. I loved playing with them and observing them when they did not think I was paying attention to what they were doing.

Tribute- Michael Joseph Jackson

This is the headlines all over: “Michael Joseph Jackson, the child star King of Pop died on Thursday, June 25, 2009″. In my words he was 50 years young. This is just as weird as hearing of Elvis’s death.
His sudden death was reported earlier by U.S. media including the Los Angeles Times and the entertainment website, which said he was taken ill at his home and rushed to the hospital by paramedics who found him not breathing when they arrived.

As a child raised in NE Philly and Camden, N.J. which titles me as a city girl, I pretty much grew up with The Jackson 5. I favored Jermaine and Randy.

My personal opinion of Michael has been and will always be that he was a confused person with a lot of money. I feel that all those people were in his face because he just happened to be a black man going through personal and private issues. I know there are many white people which have gone through confusion in their life. What about those female twins who is from the show “Full House”? Every time I seen news reports of Michael and plastic surgery, I would say; why don’t you people leave him to his life?

Michael was born on the 29th of August 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He was the 7th of nine children. (brothers: Sigmund “Jackie”, Toriano “Tito”, Jermaine, Marlon, Steven “Randy”, and sisters Rebbie, Janet and La-Toya.

Jackson 5 Jackson Five

Michael was lead singer for the Jackson 5 which formed in 1964– first performed together at a talent show when Michael was 6. They walked away taking first prize. As I grew up I heard many different opinions but the most popular was that Michael had a cute pudgy face and the group was a family.

In 1968 The Jackson 5 signed for Motown and moved to California. Their first 4 singles, “I Want You Back”, “ABC”, “The Love You Save”, and “I’ll Be There” all made US No1 hits. The Jackson 5 recorded 14 albums and Michael recorded 4 solo albums with Motown. The Jackson 5 stayed with Motown until 1976. The group name Jackson 5 had to be changed because it was owned by Motown, so they went back to The Jacksons. Jermaine married Berry Gordy’s daughter and stayed with Motown and Randy joined as well. The Jacksons had made 6 albums between the years of 1976 and 1984.

Michael and his brothers eventually took full control of writing, producing, choosing, and performing their own material. They formed their own production company, called “Peacock Productions” and each brother formed his own publishing company. It was the birth of Michael’s own publishing company: MiJac Music.

I remember when everybody was trying to do the moonwalk after Michael did it while performing “Billie Jean” during an NBC special the ‘Motown 25 years’ anniversary show for the first time in 1983.

In 1984 Michael won a record breaking 8 Grammy awards in one night. The awards were for his work on the ‘Thriller’ album and his work on the narrative for the ‘ET Storybook’. Michael announced he was splitting from the group and going solo in December 1984.

Michael’s world tour in 1992, took his concerts to countries that had never been visited by a pop/rock artist. Michael also founded the ‘Heal the World Foundation’ to help improve the lives of children across the world. Michael married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley in 1994 and divorced in 1996.

Michael toured again for a 2 year period began in 1995. Michael married Debbie Rowe in November 1996 who was a nurse. They had 2 children, before splitting in 1999.

In September, 2001 Michael celebrated his 30th anniversary as a solo artist and reunited with all of his brothers on stage. I remember this show and it was beautiful and it was well worth watching. I did not know about it. I found it when I was flicking through channels.

Michael has three children named Prince Michael I, Paris Michael and Prince Michael II. His lifetime record sales is believed to be around 750 million, which, added to the 13 Grammy Awards he received, made him one of the most successful entertainers of all time. I heard that the concerts for the 50 London sold out minutes after going on sale in March. Now that is amazing in my book but these were scheduled to begin on July 13 and last until March 2010. I wonder if everyone get their money back? Ouch!

Everyone has done wrong things but we have to remember that he has inspired many in different generations, cultures, race, and worlds. His success was our gain.

May your soul rest in peace Michael

Daily Motivation-Imagine it

Published by mariemyers under Inspiration Edit This

Imagine that you’re full of energy and enthusiasm, excited and positive about the day ahead. Imagine that you’re highly
effective, able to achieve whatever you set out to do with confidence and ease.

In your mind’s eye, see yourself working with discipline and focus, quickly and easily making the decisions that move
your world forward. Visualize yourself as always knowing what to say and do in every situation.

Imagine yourself being the person you’ve always wanted to be. Imagine living the life you’ve always dreamed of living.

See it all in rich and colorful detail. Allow yourself to dream, and know, with absolute certainty, that you can have
it, you can do it and you can be it.

Make your image of yourself and your life a positive one, and you’ll program yourself for real, sustained success.

Imagine yourself at your very best, and hold that image firmly in your mind, day after day, moment by moment.

What you’re able to imagine, you’re able to create and experience. Dare to imagine, and then put your precious time
to good use by bringing your imagination to life.

Be Aware

Tuesday May 26, 2009I ordered Google Money Profit Software CD because I was curious and it only cost me $2.29 which was the shipping fees.

I received a thank you email which contained my order information. The email also contained the following:

  • Google Money Profit Software CD
    Just $2.29 Shipping
  • Google Money Profit Membership Page - 7 Day Trial
  • Grant Membership Page - 14 Day Trial Membership access is $7.95 per month should you choose to continue.
  • Network Agenda Membership Page - 21 Day Trial Membership access is $9.95 per month should you choose to continue. Today I received my bank statement and found a charge of $39.95 from PROFITGGL8.

I was like……. WHAT DAH!?

I re-read it a few times and decided to check my email. I usually save these types of things until I receive my order because of past experiences. It had an 800 number and said available 24/7. I called.

The woman was kind on the phone. I had the email on my computer screen as I was listening to her reciting what was in my email message.

She said that she would cancel my membership and I would have a 30 day free access to the site.

Me: You will give me free access for 30 days to a site I will not use that I already paid for

Rep: Yes. Your 7 day free trial has expired

Me: There is nothing in the email message that says membership will begin after the free trial, nor does it tell me that I have to cancel before the trial period expires.

Rep: I am sorry ma’m but I will cancel your membership now.

Me: I just paid for something I never asked for?. A site such as Google.

Rep: I will enter a refund of $39.95 and cancel your membership; here is a confirmation number.

Me: Thank you very much

Rep: Thank you and you have a nice day

Me: You too. Smile

Work At Home

Published by mariemyers under Business Opts Edit This

There are actual online businesses where you can earn an income. I have written about a few of them.

This is one where members earn most of their money with the top paying online survey site by completing free and trial offers.

Free offers are very easy and only take a few minutes to complete. These offers range in payout from .25 to $3.00, and you are allowed to complete as many as you want each month.

Free offers require you to fill out forms, take surveys, and/or complete quizzes for cash. There are contests which allow members to win prizes for making the most cash from trial offers.

The trial offers payout a lot of money but do require a credit card. I’ve seen trial offers payout as little as $2.50 and as much as $80. They require you to sign up for a trial, make a purchase, or place an order.

These offers cost a certain amount to complete but in return, the payout is substantially greater. Many trial offers at this moment cost almost $2 to sign up but in turn payout $15, much greater than the initial cost.

Dinner Plans?

There is nothing like getting together with family and/or friends for dinner. A free home cooked meal with friendly conversation to share a few laughs and ideas with others.

Memorial Day weekend my oldest child (my daughter) came up from southern New Jersey with her beautiful two children and her boyfriend. The plan was for them to stay from Friday and leave on Sunday.

So, I bought enough food and refreshments and planned a cook out by buying a grill with all the items needed as well. They arrived three o’clock on Friday morning. Of course everyone went straight to sleep.

Friday my daughter went to visit local areas where she lived and came back for dinner. We conversated and watched movies the rest of the day.

Saturday morning arrived and my daughter announced that they had to leave as soon as they were ready. Something to do with she boyfriend’s family has gone wrong.

Of course I was ticked! But I swallowed my tongue and we exchanged hugs and kisses. I had the cook out with my family who live with me. My other daughter, her toddler son, my step daughter, and my husband. It went fine but we were disappointed of my daughter leaving sooner than planned.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 my sister in-law and her husband was to spend the day at my house or at least come for dinner. This is my husband’s sister whom his has not seen in twelve years and my first time meeting her in person because she lives in Illinois. They arrived in Pennsylvania on Monday and was to stay until Thursday morning (today).

Something went wrong at home in Illinois with family members so they left last night instead of having dinner with us in my home.

Neither of these changes were planned so it goes to show that Sugar Honey Iced Tea happens.

Marines

Published by mariemyers under Inspiration Edit This

What’s wrong with this picture?

If you look closely at the picture above, you will note that all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That’s because they’re praying This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. “These are federal employees,” says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU , “on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately.” When asked about the ACLU’s charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit), “Screw the ACLU.” GOD Bless Our Warriors. Send the ACLU to France !

Please send this to people you know so everyone will know how stupid the ACLU is getting in trying to remove GOD from everything and every place in America May God Bless America , One Nation Under GOD! What’s wrong with the picture? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Marines get to pray when and where ever they choose.  Just ask them.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR PASSING IT ON!

People-Living

My Story

I am not much for reading unless something catches my attention or if I have to read, I read. The Internet requires a lot of reading. You have to read in order to communicate online.

Here I am maintaining a blog. I use to write poetry and short stories and even started journals many times. I began writing my life down on paper to pass on to my children but I reach a certain time period and I stop and never restart. Hopefully one day I will be able to complete my story.

My blog contains many different topics because I have many different interests. I like to help others with information that I know of, and learn about. This is mainly because I was screwed over by not knowing things such as my legal rights pertaining to my children and my married life as well.

I built a career without a High School Diploma and way before I earned a degree. I do not recommend this way to go but this was the choice I had.

I began my career as a weekend dishwasher. This is when I was a single mom to my now 20 year old daughter who is my forth born. The owner (Diane) was a beautiful older Italian woman who needed extra help with cooking and asked my brother to teach me the ropes. He quit 2 weeks later without notice and showed me little.

Diane showed me what I needed to know and was pleased that I was able to handle things on my own the next day. This is how I gained the title “Professional Italian Sauté Cook” and I was proud. Having a title gives one pride and self worth. Since then I have cooked in many establishments in the south Jersey area. I ended my cooking career with the role as a manager with Little Caesar’s Pizza.

Since then, I have tried three different work-at-home companies and I could not make anything happen with them. As I am typing this, I see what the main cause of my failing attempts with this. I did not like the stuff (plain English). I thought they were priced to high but I could not offer much of a discount because of what I had to maintain each month. I would not use the stuff myself because I could get similar products in the store for cheaper prices.

I moved to NE Pennsylvania April 2003 (long story) and worked at a local corner store/gas station for a year and straight out quit because I hated it! I got into Home Health Care and realized that it is something that “I” cannot handle. I was introduced to a chance to do the education thing and did it.

I enrolled into a business school in the area and received an Associate’s Degree in June of 2007. I have remained unemployed since mid 2006. April 2008 I became a Home Based Business owner. Yes! I had to try it once more and it was something different about this company. I like the products and I like how the company runs.

I want to thank you for reading what I had to say.

Preschool Fun

Published by mariemyers under Household Tips Edit This

Pudding Finger Painting

Pudding
Vinyl tablecloth

This activity is fun for all, and safe for young children who can’t help but put their fingers in their mouth. Cover a table with a vinyl tablecloth. Put some pudding at each child’s place. Let them play!

Finger Painting

1/2 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water
Food coloring

In a medium sauce pan, mix all the ingredients together. Cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes, stirring until mixture is smooth and thick. Cool. Separate into storage containers and add food coloring as desired.

Playdough

2 c. flour
1 c. salt
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. water with food coloring
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Mix all ingredients together in a non-stick sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until mixture becomes a hard ball. Knead while warm for a smoother consistency. Recipe can easily be doubled or cut in half.

Homemade Paste

1/2 c. flour
Cold water

Add some cold water to the 1/2 cup flour until it is as thick as cream. Simmer and stir on stove for 5 minutes. Store in refrigerator in an airtight container when not in use. Boiled paste lasts longer and sticks better than no-cook paste.

Flubber

1 1/2 c. warm water
2 c. white school glue
1 1/3 c. warm water
3 tsp. Borax
Food coloring

Mix 1 1/2 cups warm water, glue, and food coloring together. In a separate bowl, mix 1 1/3 cups warm water and Borax together. Pour the glue mixture into the Borax mixture and take out of the bowl to knead until flubber is soft and consistent in form. Store in Ziploc bag or tightly sealed container. This stuff is really fun!

Homemade Bubble Solution

1 c. water
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/3 c. dishwashing liquid

Combine all ingredients. Mix solution well and allow to sit for 1 hour before using. Cover and label any leftover solution and store in the refrigerator.
